ROYAL BOROUGH OF KINGSTON

Objective:

As part of our on-going re-brand project for the Council we were asked to replace all existing signage in the Borough’s parks and open spaces. This involved designing a complete new system that would offer a fresh look and longevity.

Solution:

We wanted a strong durable signage system but with a nod to the environment the signs would be set in. The sign panels are made from 6mm powder coated aluminium, digitally printed and protected with an anti-graffiti laminate. We specified oak posts to soften the aesthetics of the signage. By routing a groove into the planed oak posts, the panels are then slid into position.

Installation:

Every park is surveyed and designed individually. As part of the exercise any obsolete signs or posts are removed. Installation is carried out by our own in-house qualified team. Any signage removed is disposed of by an approved waste method.

Testimonial:

‘Signs & Safety Ltd were instructed to design, manufacture and install new recreation and play area signage across the Borough, this forms part of the ongoing re-brand project they are currently undertaking.

I have received positive feedback about the signs and I feel they give the parks a much needed refresh ’ Rob Waite, Green Spaces Officer - Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames
